Christ within the astral sea

Christ is the shepherd of our souls I believe as we journey across the astral sea to the mount of Christ which I believe is the entrance to the causal realm. In the astral dimension, which we can be elevated to while we remain in our Earthly bodies, we must purify ourself before we can fully transition to the causal realm. I believe that the causal realm is likely more or less the domain of Christ consciousness and that it's essence is Christ. We must purify our hearts before we can make this journey. The only way to do this is to accept God as our Lord and to learn from him what I believe is Logic. Logic is the framework on which the astral universe is composed, and therefore the framework on which the entire physical universe depends. Logic, I believe, is taught to us through the medium of the Holy Ghost. Logic, I believe, straightens our way so that we may pass through the astral sea and reach Christ, or as I see it, the Haven that is the causal realm. I am still unsure whether these two terms are synonymous. I am more certain however, that Christ layeth beyond the astral sea, or within it, and recently I discovered that I believe Christ can be our shepherd as we make this journey. I believe we may be able to take refuge in Him as we journey across the astral sea towards moral purity. In this way it seems that Christ reaches out to us through the astral sea, to bring us to Him. Once we reach Him, I imagine that our doubt is dispelled and our faith is perfected, I think in this case we have fully united with the Lord in such a way that we are composed of His essence and dwell in a realm that is composed of His essence. This I believe is the causal realm, this is where my surety falters. Last night, I awoke to Christ in a way that I have not before. I felt that He was the purpose of learning decency, I believe that He is the aim and the goal. He is what we are searching for in this great and wide universe and in the this vast ocean of astral potency I believe He is what is generated by fully realizing it. I believe the mastery achieved by the creature will is it's death and perhaps also evolution into a being that transcends the physical universe, a being perfectly and fully mental or subtle. This is a new birth, or a rebirth of the creature's being into something totally different. The laws of this new life are equally novel and require a different set of skills. I think this is our astral body, or astral life. I think we may be able to die to our creature will so completely, even while retaining our physical life, that we fully enter into the astral or subtle universe, again, even while maintaining the same physical body that we were given at physical birth. This is only possible because our understanding of the universe and in particular the nature of the physical universe was fundamentally flawed. This major flaw led to the perception that there was a physical universe, that there is physicality. Dying to our mortal life I believe is the realization that the physical is an illusion. I think we are born into an astral universe in which it appears that our being or our soul is immortal. That no physical death can harm us. This doesn't mean an end to the Earth and our earth-body life, it is an end to a perception that is dominated by the reality of physical solidity and fleshly mortality. The Earth becomes an image floating in a greater mind that is only part of our existence, only one window of many. It's essence is not solid, but now mental as we see it. It is an aspect of mind apart of a greater mental universe with horizons we have never before imagined. Our body is a energetic vessel sailing through this mental sea of pure energy. The life we had before was a temporary state of mind, a temporary state of consciousness, that now has unfolded into a far more expansive and extraordinary space. Welcome to the astral sea!

It seems to be a sprawling place full of life, full of an incredible variety of expression. Yet I think a soul journeying through it must wonder why all of this, what is the point of all this. I think it all points to something greater and I think this is Christ who lay beyond or beneath, or within it. I think Christ is more visible here because the layer of the mortal physical consciousness is gone. It think this deeper meaning is more obvious. I think there is so much to be distracted by in the astral plane because it is so wonderful. Yet I think all of this wonder is a reflection of a deeper life, like the ripples on the surface of the water made by a mysterious underwater creature. I think it would be easy to ignore the deeper significance and get lost in the endless play of subtle lights, to float for what would seem like an eternity without having to think to much about existence. But eventually one would get tired of the endless transformations of form and wonder where it all came from. They would get tire of drifting and would long for a higher purpose. I think here is where God comes in, and eventually where Christ intervenes by declaring Himself and His deeper reality. A reality which puts the variety of form in the astral universe into a more proper light, in which we goggle at them less and take things a little more seriously, soberly and move a little closer to the still center of our being.

More to discuss

It seems to me that we desire things because of what we believe they are, what we believe they can give us. We believe that specific things have the power to satisfy us, to make us better, to make us more complete. For this reason we establish an agenda to obtain things and use them to suit our own purposes. We think it is appropriate to set out to gain what we can from the world for ourselves. I think this entire prospect is misled because this fundamental perception is untrue. I think heading out in such a manner leads to bondage rather than fulfillment. Each of these things we deem worthy out in the world is only worthy as long as we are attached to it. If we look closely, this attachment is not based off of real need, but of infectious desire, that spreads mindlessly from one thing to another. I think there are things that are appropriate to take care of, but nothing that is worth desiring. I think desire is truly poison. Even when we make an effort to take care of necessary business, there is no need to be attached to succeeding in our aims. I honestly do not think it matters if we succeed or fail. Not that this won't have consequences that affect other people for good or ill, not that it won't be important to us, but that underneath all the layers of this world, none of it is what it appears to be and none of it is real. While we remain in the world, it seems best that we divert all our efforts to eliminating the illusion of differences between things. I am talking about the difference between the true nature of things, they will always appear different, but they never will be. Additionally, even as we go about eliminating this illusion, never do so from a place of attachment. Let this endevour spring from the nothingness that comes from realizing the indivisibility behind the illusory surface of reality. Doing so from a place of attachment, is doing so from a place of desire, even if it a desire for the highest good. I think you will find that you cannot eliminate desire altogether immediately, especially a desire for achieving goodness on Earth. It is not necessary to do so, nothing is, this is the point. The more we realize the emptiness behind creation that is all that is real, the more we naturally do good things. The greatest things we can do is to let go of succeeding in fulfilling goodness from a place of ultimate surrender, not to be confused with a place of surrendering to evil and darkness. Ultimate surrender is truly selfless, a selflessness where there is no self, not a heroic self, where the self melts into the foaming sea of I AM, Emptiness. The more this is established the clearer our direction will be, and as we gather all of ourself and head towards liberation, we will remain motionless and participate in nothing at all. The latter is the primary mode, liberation is not worth being attached to, nothing is. Every thing we can believe in is equally illusory, equally a projection of self, equally ensnaring, equally undesirable. It becomes apparent that desire and self are bound in the same tangled not that is conditioned consciousness. It appears as an object in the mind where self, desire/thirst, attachment, conditioned perception of reality/aka worldliness are all one conditioned body. When it is seen as thus, it becomes apparent that it is not who we really are, not that our self is something else, but that we are not self, conditioned being. Until it is clearly seen what conditioned being is, we will have trouble stepping away from it. The clarity that eventually comes from the awakening or blossoming of Self in consciousness eventually leads to the insight that there is no need to step away from it, because there is no it, there is no self to step away from and no self to do the stepping away, the movement is pointless and impossible. Reality is simply Self which may not be the best word at this moment. The ultimate nature that all profound religion points to is the same underlying Reality. It may take awhile to recognize this, it is not essential that it is recognized. Perception ultimately simplifies to this fundamental nature that is nature in it's entirety, for the multitude is ultimately not real which leaves an already existing sea of Here I AM. There is no dharma we can hold onto, if we close our eyes properly we will find that we are already bathing in a sea of it.

More answers, more questions

I do believe it is true that God is at the heart of the astral Universe. I believe that the center of the astral universe is also in a way, the end of the astral universe, because from here, we journey into God and I believe God eventually turns into Christ. I am not sure which God this is. I think it is one of the Trinity. I believe it to be the God of the Old Testament, which makes sense because this God is the law bearer, and from my feelings, it is He that introduces Logic to the Jewish people, and as they make covenants with Him, they begin their journey across the astral sea to Him that lays in it's heart. It would seem that God the Father is the appropriate name for this aspect of God. I am no so certain though. For up to this point I believed God the Father to be the Highest form of God, God as absolute, as pure formless spirit, that is completely transcendent of Creation which appears to me now to be different from the God that rests at the heart of the astral universe which is God yet to be Christ. It seems to my knowledge that the God within the astral sea is the Father of our Souls, being composed of subtle light. Jesus also refers to those that believe in Him as is brothers and sisters, but now to which God he refers to I am uncertain. I believed it to be God as absolute, but now I do not know. His claim seems to be applicable to both. I am thoroughly perplexed by these thoughts...though I am happy to have a better understanding of the part of the Universe that extends from the astral to the absolute. My understanding of the trinity, and of the relationship between God and His souls in the astral sea, and their journey is taking shape. Understanding this feels vitally important to me. It is true that God is the same God in each aspect of the trinity, for they are all One. God is singular. I ask then, oh Lord, which of you is the Father of the Holy Trinity? And who Father is the God of the Jews that lay at the heart of the Astral sea? Lord, it seems to me that as Jesus is your son, that He would descend from Thee and you would be Higher than Him. That You would be He from whom all comes. Lord, may I know who is this God who speaks to us from within the Astral Heavens, who calls us to journey across it to Him? I ask thee Lord, is this God your hand which art the Holy Ghost? Is the same Father of the Jews, He that your son, Jesus Christ, refers to my Father who art in Heaven? Lord, I know from Yogananda that the Hand of God is before the Christ, he saith that the Holy Ghost surrounds creation and creates it from the Holy Aum, where God does this lie? Lord, when he refers to Creation, does he refer to the Universe that lies within the Astral Sea, that is the Astral Sea descending into matter? Lord, I am confused, Yogananda also speaks of the Causal realm, I know not if this is the realm of Christs, or does the Holy Ghost lay outside it's borders as well?  Father, I sense your inspiration coming from within my mind, from the astral sea. I sense the Holy Ghost speaking to me. Must he not speak from within the astral sea to mine ears? Must I not hear it from within my mind, from within the Astral currents. God, from where doth He speak to me? How can I here Him thus. Does He not speak from within the Astral Heaven? Does He not lay within it's heart as it's source? Is it not Him that calls me to make the journey to Him? To leave the Earth and it's ways behind forever? Is it not His hand that reaches out across the Universe to touch my heart and my mind. To share with me the secrets of Creation and of you Yourself oh lord high in Heaven. How did the Jews know you oh Lord? To whom did they speak? Did they know of Christ? Of you that lay beyond Him, Highest in Heaven? Lord it seems if they knew of Christ that they would have been more familiar with Him when He came? Did they only know of you as you speak out through the subtle sea as I know you now? It seems that the Jews were on a journey and that Christ is the end of that journey and many of them knew him not before He came. It seems to me that their tale in the Old Testament is a tale of this Journey and that Christ may mark the end of it. Lord it seems to me that they paved a way for Him, that we can learn from them of the God they knew in such a way that we may know and be prepared for He that came after. Lord it seems essential to me, to know you as they knew you, so that I may fully receive the Christ that Jesus brang to the Earth. Lord I know that you have spoken to many different people throughout time, and that you have many prophets and Christs and Sages, yet I feel that I may learn much from this story in particular. I feel apart of it's story unfolding throughout space and time. I feel it is important to know of thee as our Father who art in Heaven, and that we ought to learn Logic from thee through Faith, to make our progress through the Astral Heaven so that we may dock in it's heart and merge with Thee there so that we may come to Christ and fully know Him. Lord, I believe my soul calls me to do this and that I am on my way to you. I wish to know of thee and thy Way so that I may come to thee. Lord, it seems to me that as the Holy Ghost is the Word, that the word may be Logic itself, Logic fully embodied and fully present. It seems to me that Logic is the glue that holds everything together. It is the sinews of the world. It seems that through Logic we are conscious of the multitude of form, and that the Universe that we know is an image that most of us have not fully rendered. It is through the cultivation of Logic that we process this Universal Image. I believe the scope of this image is limited. It is an image that is all that lies within the mental dimension of the universe, so the mental and the physical. It seems to me that all of the images that we call forms are truly each the same image that may be this Logic. I think it is our spiritual ignorance that makes us believe they are different. I think cultivating Logic is how we learn to see this complete image and how we overcome this delusion and fully render the Image.

Fundamental Structures of the Universe

I wonder if Christ lays on the periphery of the astral universe. One of the biggest obstacles in my thinking is my inability to piece Christ consciousness together with the rational-orange-order stage of interior development. Yogananda says that as the physical universe dwells within the astral universe, the astral dwells within the causal universe, a place in which souls are so advanced that they create whole universes on a whim. A place of Gods it seems. If logic-blue conformist is the stage that is alligned with the nature of the astral universe, I have wondered if the rational-orange-order stage aligns with the causal realm. Both have similar characteristics, orange rational-order can create it's codes to live by, it can create the order by which the astral or conformist follows. It rules the astral and is transcendent of it's law abiding ways. It creates and establishes the laws, the conformist just follows the laws, it participates in the existing order. It gains depth by participation, whereas the conformist has already mastered participation and now has the ability to set the laws to suit itself. I have yet be able to explain the gap between orange rational and Christ that has to fit somewhere into the universal structure. We still have green-sensitive-communitarian, integral, soul, and some type of God before Christ. If orange rational is the quality and nature of the Causal then how do we fit all of these other stages in before we get to Spirit as Spirit, the Transcendent Father? According to Wilber there is a worldview stage of Christ that exists after Soul. There are like 4 or 5 left to go. I feel like there is a lot here that is missing in my thinking. What do all of these stages correspond with? Ego-impulse, blue-logic, orange-reason, green-?life systems? Equality? Impulse governs creature, logic governs? Lower mental structure? What does reason govern? Still mind? I think so. All of these are agencies and structures within living beings. Is integral the highest stage of mental agency? Then soul is subtle or astral? Is subtle, mind? Ha, there is a lot I do not understand. I think I can be a lot more careful with how I define things. Am I confusing a lower mind structure with an initial post mind structure? I think it would be helpful to define the fundamental structures or dimensions of the universe. Yogananda says, I believe, that the astral universe is full of prana. Which is life energy, which I believe is created at the manipura. And what is the deal with trying to traverse across the astral or subtle plane to God the Father, and Logic-Conformist? Is logic-conformist the fist step away from the personal into the transpersonal? If tribal membership is pre-personal and ego is dead center personal, is logic-conformist a first step towards the transpersonal? Or is it a stage of personal development that is characteristically accompanied by God the Father religion? It seems like my ego wants answers to this, and it is getting in the way. Dear Lord, thank you for all that you have already shown me, Amen.

Behold, the astral sea...

Imagine the breadth of the expanse of the physical universe, then imagine something that is far far greater and marvelous. Something that you do not travel through with your body, but your soul. An infinite expanse of shimmering subtle light the pure fluid of mind, one that takes aeons to traverse. Our physical universe is but a single point in this greater universe. The mystery of the creation of both the physical universe within the astral universe and the astral universe itself is devastatingly astounding. The complexity of this creation...how it is all articulated. Obviously of a mind of stupendous intellect. Every detail is perfectly attended to. Everything is perfectly placed. The truth is wonderfully concealed. In this astral plane movement is driven by feeling, by flight, by soaring with a golden heart. Through enchanted lanes of infinite variety, pulsing with the vibrancy of intense pranic forces. Expanding lights each a specific flavor of energetic design, each a unique expression of spontaneous creation and imagination. Each thought and felt by intelligent being, notes emitted from formless celestial instruments. There are higher and lower forces here, yet all is clear held in harmony by the order of God. Clearly parceled out according to unerring logic. To be here, is to swim, to be swimming. To bath in a sea of subtle light. I have danced here before, I do so now, and I will do so again. How can such an astounding thing exist? God is truly marvelous. I do not think the intensity of His love knows any bounds. I think it is infinitely deep with room for infinite expression. Here it is easy to see that the universe is actively being created and sustained in each moment. That each moment is a unique expression of truth that it all is perfectly created by God. That existence is a dance of the infinite expression of His mind and that this expression is bliss. God is forever losing Himself in creation as creation. To lose Himself is His highest pleasure, it is to fully express Himself as divine joy. Because it is so perfect and so wonderful, it never ends. It is ceaseless. The flood gates of God's soul are always open, pouring out divine waters and mists eternally recreating a resplendent universe. It is all a continuing ballad of the ever-expanding intelligence and thought of His mind. If you step back from all human feeling, on it's spectrum from the Highest Good, to the lowest unthinkable evil, it is all a glorious immaculate expression of Perfection, the unattainable manifest right before our eyes. It is all a gift of faultless Love. He is this beauty, this singular heart breaking glory that is the living Universe, the One. To live is to die and be born both at the same moment, the feeling of such is properly defined as ecstasy, which unbeknownst to most is the most natural state of being. It is at the core of our being. It is our true nature. It is the light and soul of our life. It is what every moment reaches for and every moment may find expression in. Behind the mask of mortal feeling, is the infinite ocean of Bliss that is both the fullest extent of God and Creation. All is one. The experience that any lesser being experiences is but the surface of the infinite sea that is God's divine body that is one and the same as Creation. Thus creation and creator are perfectly linked, One and Creation that we know as the multitude is but the side of life in which God covers his face with his hands. Both sides are equally God and seamlessly One. Both are the bountiful play of Spirit. Does the tide separate the land from the sea? Are not both of the Earth? Do not both reside under the same expanse of blue sky? Such is the openness of God's being and the precision of the placement of his wonders. Unobservable transitions that illustrate His ever expanding thought. The Earth is a Jewel. Everything on it is precious because it is equally apart of His Divine Love, equally apart of the infinite expanse of His divine being. Each grain of sand is touched by God, placed there with infinite love and wisdom. Wake up to this and witness the heartsplitting echoes of His bliss. Fall into a sea of Love that is the perfection of Creation. Sea the hand of God at work as he masterfully shapes the destiny of all things. See this and see outpourings of love and mastery. He is the greatest craftsman of all.

Without self

The self is impossible to hold onto and impossible to grasp because it ultimately isn't here. There really isn't any life here except Spirit which is selfless. The world in which there are many selves is not real. It is an illusion. There truly is no self, simply God or Spirit. It seems that the reality that we see as the world fights against the notion of only God, only Spirit to preserve itself. Even this war is illusory, there is no division between the world and God. God is quite simply quietly sitting here. God is things as they are and this is it. There is no other life, no other way of being. There is no other place God is. God is where and who we are. He is all that we are. Although this world and the war it holds against Truth are both illusory, as human beings we must seek Him with all our heart to be rid of this tiresome happenstance. We must utterly reject the self that is the manifest multitude of separate forms, in order to have peace within. Though this entire attempt is an illusion, it is a real manifestation of the human heart, and an eventual step it will take as it discovers the true nature of reality: the truth of Spirit and the falsehood of self and the world. Once we have drunk deeply enough of the pools of world thirst, we will find it unsatisfactory and we will seek something else to alleviate our discomfort. We will find that it is the world itself that makes us ill, and that we must divorce ourselves from our very selves to be rid of it. We must eliminate thirst at the root, which is the root of our self, We must gradually turn our attention away from self and turn it to God, until perception of self is completely eliminated. As we turn to God, we turn to righteousness. We turn to upstanding character which gives us the energy needed to dissolve our ego. It orients us in the right direction, pointed upwards towards the source of the universe, the infinite transcendent consciousness which I believe is likely generated in the crown chakra. In order to direct our energies upwards, we must restrain ourselves properly. We must pursue a gradual increase in restraint of activity that generates thirst and activity that redirects it towards fully awakening our being. We cannot properly awaken the crown chakra of Spirit if the rest of our body is not prepared. By taking on restraint we do so with our attention fixed on the eye of Spirit. As we increasingly restrain activity that generates thirst, we are gathering inspiration from God that modifies our behavior so that it awakens the energy centers of our being. This dual restrain/modification begins as the path of one cultivating virtue which is ethical behavior. This is the foundation of self-restraint and of controlling the mind so that God-realization may be achieved. This foundation gives the individual the ability to set aside the temporary gains they may make for the long term profit, which is essential for ridding oneself of ego. This path of cultivating virtue takes place on both the worldly stage of human society and on the astral plane in which we are a particle among millions. Here it is mental and logical that we cultivate virtue, it is necessary to successfully traverse the astral universe, the heart of which is I believe a Spiritual Sun that is some degree of God. This is the dry mental aspect of this beginning path of self restraint, the heart aspect is a cultivation of a genuine appreciation of other human beings as equals and a love for them and the society we all co-create.

Logic #17 Self sacrifice leads to liberation

The self or one's individual identity is the cause of suffering. By nature, this self is divorced from God or Truth, so the only way one can find peace, is paradoxically to completely let go of the self, in such a way that it utterly ceases to exist. We cannot alter this nature of self. It's nature is what makes it self, so there is nothing we can do to stop self from being wholly an obstacle to liberation. This self that we call ourselves is inherently self-centered, focused on regenerating itself in a myriad of ways, depending on the state of our consciousness. Truly it is a projection of mind that we see and experience as what we call reality. Because it is self regenerating, we must remove our attention wholly away from it for it to cease to exist. As long as it is the object of our attention, or of the attention of the mind, it will continue to be reborn moment to moment. The only way to rid of it, is with the clear and conscientious intention of getting rid of it entirely, born from a will that genuinely desires to be rid of it completely. If a shred of our awareness wants to keep it alive, it will continue to deceive us and it will continue to undermine any effort to undo it. When we can clearly see that it is undesirable, and we clearly see what is, and we have made peace with the consequence of getting rid of it, then we can apply ourselves to doing so. Until so, it will remain a hidden burden in our lives, that will prevent us from finding true peace. If our efforts are not pure, I do not think we will progress on the path to peace, it will keep us in a behind a veil of darkness, within a sphere of existence in the universe that only the pure of heart may pass. We will become increasing dissatisfied with existence, and I believe increasing troubled. The way of our liberation, the way we sacrifice our self, is not wholly up to us. I believe at this point when we are faced with the inevitable need to let it go, we can only go forward by giving our self, life and limb, to God. Limb by limb, piece by piece. There is nothing we can gain for ourselves, because things are not what they appear and what we believe is ours is not truly ours, as is the same for the power we claim we possess. The gaining of personal power is I believe at it's root evil. This does not mean our intentions are purely evil if this is what we seek. The desire to possess power for oneself and action taken to do so harms other life. It's essence is harmful, violent and a violation of the natural order of things. This action and desire is misled. It will not bring us what we believe it does, it will only perpetuate out continual feeling of dissatisfaction. We can pursue this path endlessly, continually expanding our horizons on what we believe will satisfy our thirst, yet as long as we seek it for ourselves, we will remain thirsty, regardless of how clever we become. When we gain real intelligence, we recognize that this behavior is foolish, that it is troublesome, and that we should learn to avoid it completely. We recognize that power comes from a higher source and that everything we have is temporarily given to us by this and that it is not ours to keep for ourselves. We learn that our desire to possess things is the root of our thirst and this is who we used to believe we were, that this was our self. It still is, yet we no longer desire to perpetuate it, we hope instead to be rid of it. If we are lucky, we will learn how this thirst is subtle and that it penetrates to the furthest corners of our imagination, that to be rid of it, we must sacrifice our entire sense of self, because every idea we have about our self perpetuates it's existence. To be rid of it, we cannot hold onto any of it, we have to die to it completely, we must completely give up who we are. There is no going back, there is no alternative, it is one way or the other. If we accept this task of self-sacrifice, when in fact we do sacrifice our self in this way, in wholehearted rejection of it, part of it will perish in the fire of our courageous spirit, and our spirit that is bound within this twisted form will find an ounce of freedom. We will then be more free to use our will to apply yourself to the sacrifice of our self for the sake of our imprisoned spirit, yet only if we do so in earnest will our actions bear fruit. There are many many ways we can pretend to do thus, and deceive ourselves. It is purity of heart that leads us to the place in ourselves where this is actually possible. Thus only those who are ready may undertake this task, and those who are not will have no success regardless of appearances.
It is God we leads us in this pursuit, it is He who we become. He is not ourselves, nor is he anyone at all. He is transcendent. The way in which we are led is of no consequence. It is that He leads us that is spiritual. It is essential that we learn of Him and that we learn His way, rather than to learn of the countless ways he has gone before. How can we be purified without God? There are many ways we can discover Him, but we must be inspired by him to use these tools correctly. He must be present. Otherwise we are serving ourselves, and continuing in antiquated selfishness. This is why it is said that He has a plan. He does. He has a way and we are most well when we recognize and follow it. When we go with Him we have peace. When we do not, we suffer. If we are ignorant of our suffering, then the further from Him we must be and in a deeper darkness must we reside. Ignoring God is foolishness. It is like shutting of the light and crossing a busy street and expecting not to be hurt. Without Him we cannot see, we do not know. With Him there is sense and reason. Discovering the ways in which we deceive ourselves and ignore Him is the way that we walk with Him to greater light and the eventual liberation of our spirit. We must have Him with us to understand this, to know that it is true. I believe that as we walk this path on Earth, we also walk it in the subtle astral plane. The subtleties of the path are attributed to the subtle nature of this dimension of existence, which is mental, not physical. The physical dimension of the universe of which Earth is apart exist within the astral dimension, within mind. Thus the subtle nature of mind governs the physical nature of Earth. It is God's light that shines within the astral plane that teaches us how to maneuver in it effectively. Thus we must look within our physical nature, within our bodies, to find God, within the subtle nature of our mind and heart. This is where God's light comes from. It is seen by looking within our heart and mind. If we are open to it, it descends from God through our open mind and heart and fills our body. The degree to which we are aware of Him is the degree to which our body and being is full of light, the degree to which we are ignorant of Him is the degree to which our body and being are enveloped in darkness. When you put it this way, it is obviously in our best interest to take an interest in the Divine that shines from within.
